HOW IT WORKS

■ What is a Dermal Needling Pen?
A precision handheld device with tiny needles that safely creates micro-channels in the skin to trigger renewal and repair.
■ Is the treatment safe?
Yes - when performed by our trained Vivo Skin Therapists using sterile, professional-grade tools and techniques.
■ What is the normal downtime after Micro-Needling?
On average, most people experience 24-72 hours of mild redness, warmth and sensitivity following treatment. In some cases, downtime may extend up to one week, particularly after deeper treatments. Light flaking or dryness can occur as the skin renews. Every skin is different, and recovery time can vary depending on your skin type, treatment depth and individual healing response. Your Skin Therapist will provide personalised aftercare guidance to support optimal results.
■ Does it hurt?
Sensation varies from person to person. Some describe it as a light scratching feeling, while others compare it to a mild tattoo sensation. Most clients find it very tolerable.
■ How many sessions will I need?
Optimal results usually require a series of treatments spaced weeks apart - your therapist will advise a plan for your goals.
■ What should I do before my appointment?
A free skin consultation is recommended so your therapist can tailor preparation steps to your skin.
■ Can I combine it with other treatments?
Yes - your therapist may recommend complementary facials or our power-packed Genosys Serum Infusion Add-on for enhanced results. Please note that any add-ons are charged separately.
■ How long does the appointment take?
The full appointment takes approximately 45 minutes. This includes your pre-treatment consultation, the Micro-Needling procedure itself and personalised aftercare guidance to ensure you get the best possible results.
■ What is the aftercare following Micro-Needling?
Your skin may feel warm, slightly red or sensitive for 24–72 hours. It’s important to keep the skin hydrated, protected from sun exposure and avoid active ingredients until advised. Your Skin Therapist will provide personalised aftercare guidance based on your skin and treatment depth.
For optimal and longer-lasting results, we strongly recommend using advanced, prescribed at-home skincare from trusted brands such as Aspect, Cosmedix and PCA Skin. These targeted formulas help support skin renewal and maintain your results between treatments.
