■ I’m new to skincare - is Microdermabrasion right for me?
Absolutely. Microdermabrasion is suitable for most skin types and can be a great introduction to professional skincare.

■ Does it hurt?
Not at all. Microdermabrasion is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that most clients find very comfortable. You may feel a light exfoliating or vacuum sensation on the skin, but there is no downtime, so you can get straight back to your day with instantly fresher-looking skin.
■ How many sessions will I need?
You’ll notice smoother, brighter skin after just one treatment. However, for longer-lasting results and concerns such as congestion, pigmentation or fine lines, a series of treatments may be recommended by your Skin Therapist based on your skin goals
■ What should I do before my appointment?
Avoid using any exfoliating products 3-5 days prior to your service. Avoid direct sun exposure. Do not schedule and other skin treatments scheduled prior to your Microderm treatment.
■ Can I combine it with other treatments?
Yes - your therapist may recommend complementary facial treatments for enhanced results. Please note that any add-ons are charged separately.
■ How long does the appointment take?
The full appointment takes approximately 30 minutes. This includes your pre-treatment consultation, the Microdermabrasion procedure itself and personalised aftercare guidance to ensure you get the best possible results.
■ What is the aftercare following Micro-Needling?
Microdermabrasion treatments are extremely safe and effective. We recommend a gentle cleanser and a SPF 50+ sunscreen needs to be applied as aftercare for all treatments.
FOR 24 HOURS POST TREATMENT
- No direct heat on the face
- No hot water, steam rooms, saunas
- Avoid application of heavy makeup
- Apply sunscreen and reapply it every 2 hours
- Cover your face from the sun
- Avoid exfoliating products
FOR 72 HOURS POST TREATMENT
- Keep applying sunscreen and reapply it every 2 hours
- Avoid exfoliating products
FOR YOU TO REMEMBER
- Do not pick at the skin! This can increase the risk of infection, pigment changes and scarring
- Increase water intake to include at least 8 glasses
- Wear Sun Protection and reapply every 2 hours (as per the post treatment application guidelines)
- Protect the treatment area with protective clothing such as hat, sunglasses and long sleeves when outdoors
- Not use wash cloths, or any other type of cloth on the treated area, instead, apply cleanser to clean hands and foam for application
