Key Actives and Benefits:
HUMECTANTS - Humectants work to draw moisture into the stratum corneum (the top layer of the skin) from the environment and the lower layers of the skin. They keep the skin hydrated and help to maintain its structure
EMOLLIENTS - Emollient ingredients are usually skin-identical lipids, which slip into the skin's natural lipid barrier with
ease to fill any gaps. These help to minimise TEWL and are essential for maintaining hydration in the upper layers of
the skin.
OCCLUSIVES - Occlusives are made up of large molecules that form a protective layer on the skin's surface. These reinforce the skin's natural protective barrier and prevent moisture from escaping. Dimethicone is our primary occlusive in H.E.O. Mask, and forms a breathable TEWL-blocking shield over skin. Dimethicone is non-comedogenic.
Client Profile:
- Customers with very dry and dehydrated skin.
- Customers with sensitive skin and compromised skin barrier.
- Customers with mature and menopausal skin looking to boost skin’s moisture levels.
- Customers who live in colder climates or experiencing seasonal changes.
- Customers adjusting to new levels of Vitamin A.
Directions for Use:
- After cleansing and application of vitamin A, apply H.E.O Mask as the last step your evening routine.
- Smooth an almond-sized amount of Step 1 of H.E.O. Mask over face, neck and décolletage, avoiding the eye area.
- Allow to absorb for a few minutes then gently massage another almond-sized amount of Step 2 of H.E.O. Mask into the same areas.
- Leave on overnight.
- Use 2-3 times a week or as required.
Step 1: The cooling blue gel instantly replenishes skin hydration, using hyaluronic acid, glycerin and other humectants which work to draw water molecules into the upper skin layers.
Step 2: The velvety cream locks in this hydration and works over time to improve the skin's natural ability to retain water, for long lasting moisturisation. Emollients such as squalane and ceramides nourish and support the skin barrier, while primary occlusive dimethicone forms a protective layer on the surface to limit transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
Approximately 50 applications per 2x 50ml tubes.
Shelf life: 30 months.
Once opened, use within 12 months.
Advise new users to patch test prior to incorporating into the skincare regime. Refer to medik8.co/patch for an in-depth guide to patch testing.
Ingredients:
- Multi-Weight Hyaluronic Acid - With a unique ability to attract and retain more than 1,000x its own weight in water, hyaluronic acid draws moisture from the surrounding atmosphere into the skin, leaving the complexion both nourished and supple.
- Natural Moisturising Factors - Found naturally in the upper layers of the skin, Natural Moisturising Factors (NMF) work to attract and retain water. NMF levels in the skin decline as we age, therefore NMF components, including urea, amino acids and sodium PCA work to restore hydration within the complexion.
- Ceramides - Naturally found in the skin barrier, ceramides help to replenish the skin, working to mimic the natural lipid barrier to intensely restore and nourish.
- Squalane - An almost skin-identical lipid, squalane helps to restore the skin’s natural moisture barrier and deeply moisturises the complexion.
- Dimethicone - Made up of large molecules, dimethicone forms a breathable barrier over the skin’s surface which helps to lock in hydration and nourishment for prolonged results.
