As 2019 begins we all start to wonder what will be in store for us, what trends will grace the runways? Who will be making a statement with their look this year?

With summer now in full force (and the new year calling for new beginnings) we thought what better time is there to give you our top favourite colour trends for Summer 2019. These have been spotted in our Vivo Salons nationwide and their popularity continues to rise. Perhaps, this is the sign you have been looking for to pull your locks out of their routine colour!

Ice Blonde

Not only has this snowy shade been flooding the catwalks of major runway shows, but this super cool trend has been spotted on some of your favourite hollywood A-listers (including Gigi Hadid and Kylie Jenner). This striking hue really showcases the lightest platinum tones and often is accompanied by silver, white and blue accents. The dimension created by the multiple shades often reflects a pearlescent tone that reflects that of frost-covered strands.

Charcoal Silver

Whilst silver and grey colours were hugely evident and coveted throughout 2018, the addition of the charcoal root fade really seems to be gaining traction for 2019. The depth and dimension that this darker colour brings to this look really is that je ne sais quoi that elevates and completes the look.

Toasted Coconut

Drawing inspiration from a milk-white coconut flake that has been partially toasted to a warm brown hue, this colour is achieved using a balayage or foiling technique to replicate the same effect. Gaining popularity in late 2018, this trend has proven it is here to stay for 2019 and demand for the softly- transitioned shades continues to grow. '

Soft Metals

Bright, strong metallic shades dominated 2018, These striking avant-garde looks were captivating but often were deemed unwearable for those who did not want their locks to be so bold. With the release of Goldwell’s revolutionary pure pigments colour technology, the metallic trend has become more adaptable - allowing clients to select a more subtle and soft approach or the ability to add more of the metallic sheen depending on their preference.

Cold Brew Coffee

While Chocolate brown is one of the absolute staple and classic colours that clients choose year after year, currently, it appears to be taking a backseat to the sought-after cooler brunette, It’s not just blondes that are cooling down for summer 2019, but brunettes are also seemingly favouring a cooler-toned hue for their strands.
